Photography by Darice de Cuba

Born and raised in Aruba with roots in Curaçao, these two islands are in my DNA. Since I moved to The Netherlands in the year 2000, each year a chasm started to grow between me and the islands.

A small selection of scenes from my regular walks in The Hague. I don’t go out with an idea of what I want to photograph. I mostly walk around and see what catches my eye or evokes an emotion. The surfers represent my beach DNA, being from Aruba and all that.

I’m fascinated with capturing interior spaces from outside. The colours, light, reflections and mood. A moment in time of people going about their daily life.

A walk around Witte de Withstraat towards the central train station.
